Can't speak for Pat who made the comment, but it's a phrase I'm prone to use. The tape recordings of early life are hard to erase. Doesn't mean that we put any true meaning to them. I frequently say "knock on wood" but know perfectly well it won't change a thing. :~)

I was kind of kidding. I'm not much of a believer myself, but I do say knock on wood and if there's no wooden object around, I was taught to knock on my own head. Old habits refuse to die. lol

Amusingly, I just don`t see that the poster (who I`ve never seen posting before, anyway) shows herself any better or more peace-loving than Victoria, by the mere fact that she, herself, is on the attack! Chain reaction!

Caryn p.s. Google started a new subject line, so I didn't know it was actually a thread about that insipid angel project, or I never would have read it.

I am purposefully responding to negative, bullying posts. In the past people have just ignored them and let it happen so the "bully" feels s/he has "won" and continues using the same behaviour when s/he is upset or disagrees with others about something. As a result, it seems to have become standard for those types of posts to be continued whether they are responded to or not. Personally, I feel it's time it quits; it's time someone stands up to the verbal bullies so I make it a point of responding in as calm and logical manner as possible. I can only speak for myself but, if I am attacked, verbally assaulted with profanity, called names and accused of things I did not do, then I will continue to respond to those posts. I will not be bullied and will not ignore those types of posts. I WILL stand up for myself and continue to respond to negative, mean, nasty bullying posts. CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Most of the ongoing bitchery is due to people who can't resist the temptation to have the last word. But it never is, is it?

In the past, when I have posted to a "hot" thread, I have had my say and added that I won't be contributing any more. I don't usually think it's necessary to keep haranguing people about my point of view. I also don't care if I have the last word when the thread is simply one of differing points of view or opinions. Unfortunately, with this whole Angel project, I have felt it necessary to respond to nasty, negative, bullying posts. If a poster disagrees with something I have said or has a different opinion, I can accept that. It's the vitriolic, profane and defamatory posts that I am responding to and will keep doing so until that sort of language stops. CiaoMeow >^;;^<
